Tom Broadhurst is Of Counsel in the London office of Morrison & Foerster.
Mr. Broadhurst practises across the range of intellectual property matters from patents, designs and copyright to trademarks. He represents clients in the chemical, bioscience, pharmaceutical, Internet and software sectors, providing advice on all aspects of intellectual property from patents to copyright and trademarks and associated rights. Mr Broadhurst advises on IP strategies and their implementation and on the enforcement through the courts of all forms of patents and soft IP against infringers including interplay with parallel actions worldwide and devising dispute resolutions. He also negotiates and deals with complex know-how, software, patent and trademark licensing agreements. He regularly speaks on IP matters at conferences and seminars.
Mr Broadhurst is a qualified solicitor in England and Wales and is also admitted to the State Bar of California.
Mr. Broadhurst received his B.Sc from University College, London in 1981 and his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Cambridge in 1986. He qualified in law in 1988 and became a solicitor specialising in Intellectual Property litigation, obtaining a Diploma in Intellectual Property Law from the University of Bristol in 1993. In 1997, he joined Morrison & Foerster becoming Of Counsel to the firm in 1999.
