Ms. Bevitt works with a wide range of clients, from governments, multinationals and large corporates to individual senior executives, from a broad spectrum of industry sectors including insurance; banking and financial services; venture capital and private equity; recruitment and employment; biotechnology; pharmaceuticals; and technology. Her practice area covers all aspects of employment law and employment-related matters, both contentious and non-contentious with a focus on outsourcing (IT, BP and HR), international reorganizations and mergers and acquisitions.

Ms. Bevitt has extensive expertise advising clients on international data protection and privacy in particular, with a reference to the movement of employee data within and outside the EU. She is a contributing author in the publication, “Employee Privacy: Guide to US and International Law”, which has been published in two versions by A S Pratt & Sons and Thompson Publishing in September 2007.

Ms. Bevitt’s recent transactions include advising HMRC on the employment and human resources issues arising out of one of Europe's most high-profile technology outsourcing and re-procurement projects; advising Pearl Assurance on all employment and HR aspects of the outsourcing of its life and pensions administration services; and advising the UKvisas agency within the Foreign and Commonwealth Office of the UK Government on all employment and HR aspects of a business process outsourcing contract involving the system and process for awarding UK visas (this project involved UK Embassies and High Commissions in every European country and across all other major jurisdictions in the world). She is currently advising a multi-national manufacturer of pharmaceutical, diagnostic, therapeutic, surgical, and biotechnology products on the employment and privacy aspects of its HR outsourcing, including the review of HR policies in 80+ countries worldwide.

Ms. Bevitt also has rights of audience in all civil courts and significant experience as an advocate. She was called to the Bar in 1992, after graduating from Oxford University.
