Description:
With the Information and Consultation Regulations now in force, there are many situations in which employers must consult
with their employees. The same event can give rise to different and overlapping consultation obligations, to be conducted
on different timetables, with different employee representatives entitled to different information. A failure to consult
can carry severe penalties. These obligations affect the handling of transactions and planning. Lawyers from the Employment
Team of Morrison & Foerster’s London office will provide practical insights into this area.
Topics Will Include:
- The categories of consultation
- What is meant by consultation
- Recent case law
- How to handle overlapping consultation
- Problem avoidance in such areas as competing timetables, confidentiality and advance preparations
Speakers Will Include:
Ann Bevitt, Of Counsel, Morrison & Foerster
Angela Gill, Associate, Morrison & Foerster
David Warner, Senior of Counsel, Morrison & Foerster
