Description:
The following Breakfast Briefing is designed for employers operating internationally, but all are welcome.
Disciplinary Procedures: All Change
The Employment Act 2002 introduces new minimum disciplinary and grievance procedures. These are compulsory. Failure to comply
will make a dismissal automatically unfair. These provisions are expected to apply from "late 2003". We summarise the changes
and the steps you need to take.
Speakers
This seminar will be presented by members of our multidisciplinary team:
- Ann Bevitt
- Angela Gill
- Christopher Palmer
- David Warner
Previous Topics in the Series: Data Protection and Privacy in HR: Emerging Problem Areas - November 7, 2002
The pace of change in this area continues to accelerate. The law is complex. The Information Commissioner has recently published
codes on "Recruitment and Selection" and "Record Management", plus a new draft on "Monitoring at Work". Employers are facing
increasing practical challenges. We summarise some of the problems arising and discuss solutions.
