London (September 07, 2004) --- Morrison & Foerster's London-based Technology Transactions Group has advised Saba (NASDAQ: SABA) on a global licensing and services deal with the Allianz Group, one of the world's largest integrated financial services organisations.
The agreement between Saba and Allianz is expected to result in the deployment of Saba Enterprise Learning to up to 20,000 Allianz users by early 2005. Over the next three years, the Saba solution may be rolled out to as many as 400,000 additional users within Allianz's global workforce and independent agent network. The global rollout plan encompasses all of Allianz's geographic regions and more than 200 legal entities worldwide.
Partner David Naylor said: "It was a pleasure to work with Saba again on this important transaction. The deal was right in Morrison & Foerster's sweet-spot: Morrison & Foerster's London practice has developed a serious presence in the area of transactional technology work in the financial services sector and the past few months have been particularly busy with the closing of a number of similar deals. Judging by the extent of our current pipe-line, the pace also shows no sign of slackening. Our other tech-focused practices in London, from Life Sciences through to Telecom, are also very active."
