Katsuhiko Fujihira is a partner of Ito & Mitomi. Mr. Fujihira has a broad range of experience in finance and securities, including banking, capital markets, securitizations and bond default workouts, as well as general corporate practice. Clients whom Mr. Fujihira advises include major banks and securities companies in Japan.

Prior to joining Ito & Mitomi, Mr. Fujihira was a co-managing partner at Mitsui, Yasuda, Wani & Maeda. Mr. Fujihira is a Bengoshi admitted to practice in Japan.

Mr. Fujihira received his LL.B. from the University of Tokyo, Faculty of Law in 1982, graduated from the Legal Research & Training Institute of the Supreme Court of Japan in 1985, and received his LL.M. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1989.

• Advised bond commissioned companies in major bond default cases, including Mycal, Yaohan, Yamaichi and Aoki Kensetsu.
• Advised issuers, including France Telecom, in public offerings in Japan.
• Advised Nikko Cordial Group in its company split to establish a holding company.
