Tsugumichi Watanabe is a partner in the firm’s Project Finance and Development Group. He practices in a variety of areas in the project finance and corporate fields, including representing Japanese companies and financial institutions in cross border investments, financings and acquisition financings and in connection with regulatory, disclosure and corporate governance issues as well as representing non Japanese companies and financial institutions in their activities involving Japan.

Educated in the U.S. and the U.K., Mr. Watanabe received his A.B., A.M. and J.D. degrees from Harvard University. He is qualified to practice in New York. Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster in September 2004, Mr. Watanabe was a partner in the New York office of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy.
