Ms. Gehui Gao is a foreign attorney of Ito & Mitomi. Ms. Gao’s practice focuses on China-related matters, particularly in the areas of foreign direct investment, M&A, labor, litigation, and intellectual property. Ms. Gao is experienced in advising Japanese clients on strategies for entry into the China market and for the protection of intellectual property rights, including technology transfers and licensing, in China.

Ms. Gao recevied her LL.M. from East China University of Politics and Law in 1990 and her Masters in Civil Law from Waseda University Graduate School of Law in 2003. Ms. Gao has previously been an inhouse lawyer in the legal department of a listed company in Shanghai and also a lawyer at a Shanghai law firm. Prior to joining Ito & Mitomi, Ms. Gao was a foreign attorney at Asahi Law Offices. Ms. Gao is qualified as a lawyer in China and is a ‘ Gaikokuho Jimu Bengoshi ’ in Japan. Ms. Gao is a member of Dai-ichi Tokyo Bar Association.
