James Lee is an associate in the Business Department of Morrison & Foerster’s Tokyo office. He is a qualified accountant as well as an attorney. Mr. Lee’s practice focuses on Mergers & Acquisitions and Securities Offerings.

Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster, Mr. Lee’s experience includes working as a lawyer at the Australian Securities & Investments Commission (which is the Australian equivalent of the Securities Exchange Commission in the U.S.), and as a company auditor at the Sydney office of Ernst & Young.

Mr. Lee received his Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of New South Wales in 1995, and earned his L.L.B. with second-class honors and a B.A. in International Studies from the University of Technology, Sydney in 2002. Mr. Lee was also a research student at Waseda University’s Graduate School of Law under a Ministry of Education scholarship for two years.

Mr. Lee is a native English speaker and fluent in Japanese and Korean.
