Phillip Armstrong is an associate in the firm’s real estate group whose practice focuses on financing, disposition and development of real estate assets both in Japan and the Asia-Pacific region. His experience covers structuring, negotiation and drafting of joint venture, acquisition, loan and security documentation. He has acted for both Japanese and foreign clients across a variety of industries including real estate and banking. Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster, Phillip was with the Tokyo office of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP.

Mr. Armstrong received his B.A. degree from the University of Saskatchewan in 1994, his LL.B. degree from the University of Victoria in 2002 and his LL.M degree from Kyushu University in 2004. Mr. Armstrong is admitted to practice law in Ontario and New York.
