Phillip Armstrong's practice focuses on the representation of U.S., European, and Japanese funds, banks, and other institutional clients in all major aspects of real estate-related transactions in Japan, including the acquisition, financing, restructuring, and disposition of real estate and real estate-related assets. Mr. Armstrong has also been involved in fund formation and fund-related transactions, as well as transactions in the hospitality sector.
Mr. Armstrong began his law firm career with Torys LLP, working out of its Toronto office. In 2005, he moved to Tokyo and joined the real estate group of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. Mr. Armstrong joined Morrison & Foerster in January 2008.
