Ms. Saeki is Of Counsel in the Tokyo Business Department. Ms. Saeki's practice focuses on the representation of clients in a wide range of international business transactions including strategic alliances, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions and other commercial transactions. She has represented many leading Japanese companies in their activities, most recently in the high technology area.

Ms. Saeki's recent transactions include representing Fujitsu in its strategic alliance with Sun Microsystems to combine the parties' Unix server development, representing Hitachi in its $2 billion acquisition of IBM's hard disk drive business and SOFTBANK in its $1.5 billion strategic alliance with Cisco Systems.

Ms. Saeki received her B.A. degree from Northwestern University in 1990 and her J.D. degree from IIT-Chicago Kent College of Law in 1993. Before joining Morrison & Foerster LLP, she was associated with a law firm in Chicago for seven years representing U.S. subsidiaries and affiliates of major Japanese companies in cross border and domestic corporate transactions particularly in the manufacturing and automotive industries. In 2003 she was seconded for six months to the legal department of a major Japanese high technology company. She is fluent in English and Japanese.
