Ben Billa is an associate in the Litigation Department of Morrison & Foerster’s Tokyo office. He received his B.A. degree, majoring in International Relations and minoring in Spanish, from Stanford University in 2002, with Phi Beta Kappa Honors, Departmental Honors, and University Distinction. Mr. Billa earned his M.A. degree in International Policy Studies from Stanford University in 2003. He received his J.D. in 2007 from Yale Law School.

With co-author Professor Susan Rose-Ackerman of Yale Law School, Mr. Billa wrote an article entitled “Treaties and National Security,” which will be published in the NYU Journal of International Law and Politics in January 2008. He is fluent in Spanish, has a basic knowledge of Italian and Portuguese, and is learning Japanese.
