Matt D'Amore's practice includes representing clients in complex federal litigation, particularly patent litigation and securities class actions.  He frequently assists technology clients in patent and intellectual property disputes, securities and accounting litigation and investigations, and other commercial matters. Mr. D'Amore has litigation experience in a wide variety of industry areas, including software design, Internet technology, electronics and semiconductors, business methods, financial services, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and biotechnology.

Mr. D'Amore has participated on and led matters before the United States District Courts of New York (Southern and Eastern Districts), Connecticut, New Jersey, Delaware, and Illinois (Northern District), the United States International Trade Commission, as well as the United States Courts of Appeal for the Federal Circuit and Second Circuit.

Weisman v. Omron Healthcare, Inc.
(Northern District of Illinois). Successfully defended Omron Healthcare in a patent case relating to electronic blood pressure monitors. The case was tried and won on Omron's laches defense. (1999)
Becton Dickinson & Co., Inc., et al. v. Omron Healthcare, Inc.
(District of Delaware). Successfully represented Omron Healthcare in a patent case involving infrared ear thermometers, obtaining a motion to dismiss the complaint for lack of standing, which led to a settlement shortly thereafter. (2003)
