Mimi Yang is a litigation associate in the San Francisco office of Morrison & Foerster LLP. Ms. Yang’s specializes in securities class actions, SEC investigations, and internal investigations. In this context, she has represented companies, directors, audit committees, and special committees of boards of directors. Ms. Yang also has experience in other complex commercial litigation, including contract disputes, consumer class actions, and financial services litigation.

In addition to domestic securities and business litigation, Ms. Yang has an active China practice, focusing on Chinese clients or multinational companies with an interest in developing business relationships in China. She has represented China’s largest television manufacturer, China’s first investment bank, the largest producer of traditional Chinese medicine, and various U.S. businesses with a China presence, both in state and federal courts.

Ms. Yang received her B.S. degree in Management Science (Operations Research) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2000, and currently serves as the alumni class president. She received her J.D. degree in 2003 from the New York University School of Law, where she was Articles Editor for the New York University Law Review.

Ms. Yang is fluent in Mandarin Chinese, and has a working knowledge of Japanese. She is admitted to practice in California.
