The Morrison & Foerster Foundation gave more than $615,000 in 2011 to a variety of fellowship and scholarship programs benefiting children and youth, and to awards intended to encourage public service and diversity in higher education and the legal profession. We directed a significant portion of those funds to Equal Justice Works, to sponsor two-year fellowships for attorneys working at nonprofit organizations on behalf of traditionally under-served populations in some of the cities where the firm has offices.
