SAN FRANCISCO, March 9, 2010 – Morrison & Foerster LLP has launched MoFo2Go, one of the first multi-functional applications developed by a law firm. MoFo2Go is an application for use on Apple's iPhone and iPod Touch and is available for free download on the iTunes application store.
MoFo2Go has a robust functionality, consisting of four primary functional areas. These areas are "People," "News," "Locations," and "Play," providing on-the-go professionals with important information about the firm, its attorneys, and its global practice groups.
"Knowing how often our own attorneys use their phones and hand-helds as portable offices, we realized that clients and others seeking information about the firm on a wide range of topics could benefit from a wireless application giving them instant access to this information through their own devices," said Keith Wetmore, chair of Morrison & Foerster.
Mr. Wetmore added: "As a firm, we take pride in our tradition of innovation and leadership on the technology front. We are extremely excited to be releasing MoFo2Go and look forward to developing additional functional areas and content."
The "People" function of MoFo2Go allows users to view short bios of all Morrison & Foerster attorneys, searchable by practice, industry, office location, and law school. The "News" section includes firm press releases, client alerts, newsletters, and articles from the firm's award-winning publication MoFo Tech, which users will be automatically alerted to via a notification button on the application. The "Location" function provides information about all offices, including addresses, directions, and nearby transportation hubs, restaurants, and hotels. Lastly, "Play" is an entertainment function that features a maze game.
MoFo2Go was created by Rubenstein Technology Group for Morrison & Foerster. The content of the application is for informational purposes only and is not legal advice.
