Partner Beth S. Brinkmann argued before the Supreme Court in Hall Street Associates, L.L.C. v. Mattel, Inc., No. 06-989. Morrison & Foerster represents Mattel in a dispute concerning the proper interpretation of the Federal Arbitration Act.
This argument comes a week after Morrison & Foerster of counsel Drew S. Days, III, argued before the Supreme Court in Klein & Co. Futures, Inc. v. Board of Trade of the City of New York, No. 06-1265. Morrison & Foerster represents Klein & Co. Futures in a case concerning statutory standing under the Commodity Exchange Act.
The arguments were Ms. Brinkmann’s 22nd and Mr. Days’ 24th oral arguments before the Supreme Court. Morrison & Foerster attorneys have also been retained to present oral arguments in two cases in the Supreme Court’s December and January sessions.
