IP Law & Business released its Most Active Patent Litigation survey, ranking Morrison & Foerster as the second most active firm to handle patent cases in the United States District Courts in 2007. This reflects a leap of nine spots over last year’s standing. The Patent Litigation practice’s balance between plaintiff as well as defense work was rewarded with third place rankings in both categories. The firm’s Appellate practice also earned a top ten ranking for number of patent litigation cases representing appellees in the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
Combined with last month’s ranking as the fourth most active firm in the International Trade Commission, these new rankings underscore Morrison & Foerster’s growing reputation as the go-to firm for patent litigation in all major U.S. venues.
