LOS ANGELES, February 13, 2007 – Morrison & Foerster LLP announced that Los Angeles associate Wendy J. Ray has been named to the Board of Governors of California Women Lawyers, representing District 7 (Los Angeles). California Women Lawyers is the only statewide bar association for women in California, which works to advance women in the legal profession and in society.
Ms. Ray is an associate in the firm’s litigation department. She has worked on numerous unfair competition, class action, Consumer Legal Remedies Act, antitrust and intellectual property cases.
Ms. Ray received her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center cum laude in 2002, where she was an Articles and Notes Editor of the Georgetown Journal of Gender and the Law. She externed in the chambers of U.S. District Court Judge Robert J. Timlin of the Central District of California. Ms. Ray received a Master of Public Health degree in health care policy and administration with distinction from Yale University in 1996; a B.S.E. degree in Bioengineering from the University of Pennsylvania; and a B.S. degree in Economics from the Wharton School of Business in 1994.
