In its July-September 2006 issue, PLC Cross-border Quarterly published a list of the Top 20 IP law firms from around the globe.  Morrison & Foerster LLP ranked seventh on the list, with nine attorneys, across three continents, receiving recommendations.  The firm's US IP practice received commendation nationally, as did the practices in New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco/Silicon Valley regions.

Rankings were based on interviews conducted by PLC researchers with in-house counsel and leading private practitioners over the past year.

In commenting on the firm's global IP practice, PLC Cross-border Quarterly said: "It remains one of the pre-eminent players in Japan when it comes to US-outbound work, and its West Coast operations benefit from a strong litigation and prosecution presence in the Silicon Valley region, focusing on electronics and life sciences clients."
