New York, June 23, 2006 - Morrison & Foerster LLP has announced that Anna Pinedo, partner in the firm’s Capital Markets group in the New York office, is the recipient of the 2006 National Organization for Women’s Women of Power and Influence Award , which celebrates the achievement of extraordinary women in finance, business, law and politics.

The 2006 Women of Power and Influence Awards honors the legacy of Betty Friedan who founded NOW in 1966 and began a movement that opened the door for women to pursue careers and to fulfill their potential.

Ms. Pinedo specializes in securities and derivatives transactions at Morrison & Foerster. She has built a successful practice and earned a reputation on Wall Street for creating innovative financial products and new financing techniques. She represents investment banks/financial intermediaries, issuers and investors in financing transactions, including public offerings and private placements of equity and debt securities and hybrid instruments. Anna Pinedo was recently selected as one of the nation’s leading practitioners in Capital Markets: Derivatives by Chambers USA – America’s Leading Business Lawyers 2006.
