Mr. Jun Deng is an Of Counsel in Morrison & Foerster’s Hong Kong Office. Mr. Deng’s practice includes corporate finance including security offerings, venture capital financing, mergers and acquisitions, foreign invested joint ventures and other forms of foreign direct investment in China. He has extensive experience working with institutional investors and private equity and venture capital firms in China having most recently spent two years working an in-house counsel for leading private equity firm, Avenue Asia, in China.
Mr. Deng received his LL.B. degree from Wuhan University Law School in 1990 and passed China’s national lawyer examination in 1993. In 1995 he received his Master’s degree in international relations from Villanova University and his Master of Laws degree from Capital University Law School. He was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1996 and qualified as a Hong Kong solicitor in 2003. He worked as an associate at Morrison & Foerster’s Hong Kong office from the end of 1996 to March 2004 and worked with China.com Inc. during the period from March 2004 to July 2005 as Senior Legal Counsel and Company Secretary.
Mr. Deng is qualified in the People’s Republic of China, the State of New York in the U.S., and Hong Kong.
