Marc Young is the chair of the firm's global Real Estate Group. His practice covers a broad range of real estate transactions.
Mr. Young represents borrowers and lenders in connection with the origination, servicing and restructuring of all types of real estate-related financings, including loans secured by multiple properties, hotel financings, syndicated loans, subordinate and mezzanine financings, unsecured credit facilities, securitized debt, construction loans, and preferred equity transactions. Mr. Young regularly advises clients in connection with distressed loans and preferred equity investments, including with respect to work-out and restructuring options, intercreditor issues, sales and remedies. His finance clients include real estate investment banks, commercial banks, capital companies, mortgage REITs, and opportunity funds.
Mr. Young has represented numerous buyers and sellers in connection with the purchase and sale of different types of real property, including commercial office buildings, industrial properties, hotels, large residential properties, and unimproved land. Mr. Young has advised clients in a number of portfolio sales and acquisitions.
Mr. Young also has represented numerous tenants and landlords in connection with the negotiation and documentation of real property leases, including office leases, retail leases and ground leases.
Mr. Young is a member of the California State Bar Association, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.
