Overview

Why You Should Choose Morrison & Foerster for Sourcing

For any organization contemplating a Sourcing project, whether IT outsourcing, business process outsourcing, business transformation outsourcing, technology transformation, offshore services or strategic services, Morrison & Foerster has the experience, resources and approach to help you achieve the solution you require.

We have over 60 experienced sourcing lawyers in our US, European and Asian offices to provide a seamless global service on all aspects of Sourcing.

Too many advisers see Sourcing as a legal or procurement problem rather than the client’s business opportunity and risk management process.  We work alongside our clients, understand their requirements and then help them achieve their business goals.

We focus on key business drivers such as:

  • Lower price and/or better performance or efficiencies?
  • Using an in-house solution or outsourcing?
  • The use of offshore solutions.
  • Business transformation or transferring the status quo?
  • Balancing short-term gains and long-term risk management.

Above all, we understand that clients value clear advice from advisers who are focused on achieving a successful long-term solution.

Our Approach

All of our lawyers understand that project management is an essential part of any Sourcing project, and that the traditional approach of the lawyer is not enough to assist clients in navigating the complex technical, pricing, performance, risk management and legal issues involved in Sourcing transactions.

We understand that successful Sourcing transactions establish long-term relationships requiring a clear and flexible framework that can change and adapt as the client’s needs and business evolve.  We implement this approach by structuring contracts that are built-to-last and to adapt, and that focus on the long-term win for both parties rather than short term gains for one.

Global Practice

Having a truly global practice with 17 offices in the key US, European and Asian markets, Morrison & Foerster offers clients an integrated and solutions focused service that supports all aspects of sourcing, including corporate structures, tax, HR, information security, data privacy and regulatory issues.
