"I have no idea what Morrison & Foerster does institutionally to produce such dedicated, caring attorneys in such large numbers. What I do know is their attorneys have been the most amazing supporters to our organization, and we literally could not be where we are without them."

Caroline Kim Oh, President, iMentor

Providing legal services to nonprofit organizations that serve the public is a cornerstone of Morrison & Foerster's pro bono practice. Each year, our attorneys assist hundreds of nonprofit organizations in the communities where we work, domestically and abroad. We advise these groups on a wide range of matters, including tax, labor, corporate governance, real estate, land use, and intellectual property. To learn more about our work with nonprofit organizations, click here.

Harvest Home Farmer's Markets are a bright spot in New York's urban landscape. Founded in 1993, Harvest Home aims to increase access to farm fresh produce in low-income neighborhoods. Its network of markets offers affordably priced, locally grown produce, educational programs about health and nutrition, and job opportunities for neighborhood residents. MoFo attorneys have advised Harvest Home on a variety of corporate and employment questions, so it can focus on bringing great food to people who need and want it.

Helping Organizations Do Good

The creativity and vitality of nonprofit organizations is matched by the variety of their legal needs, and MoFo is deeply involved in meeting them. One such organization is iMentor. Where many despair at the sight of young people's fingers constantly at work on a digital device, the founders of iMentor saw the potential for vastly expanding the concept of mentoring to capitalize on digital technologies. MoFo attorneys have helped iMentor license its innovative platform to more than 50 other organizations and exponentially increased its reach.
