Rebekah Kaufman is chair of the firm’s consumer litigation and class action practice group. She is an experienced litigator, and has successfully defended clients in disputes involving various state unfair competition, false advertising, and consumer fraud laws in federal and state courts throughout the U.S. From banks and insurers, to retail stores and consumer product and electronics manufacturers, clients rely on her expertise to develop effective strategies for defending against consumer class actions.
Ms. Kaufman is a member of the Resource Board of the National Association of Women Judges and also serves on the board of the Child Care Law Center. She is an editor and contributing author to the firm’s award-winning quarterly financial services newsletter on the topic of consumer arbitration, and a frequent author of legal updates concerning consumer litigation.
Ms. Kaufman received her J.D. in 1999 from the Ohio State College of Law, where she served as editor-in-chief of the Ohio State Law Journal and was elected to the Order of the Coif.
