Law360 has named Washington, D.C. associate, Sandeep Nandivada, a Rising Star for Government Contracts in 2020. The publication received more than 1,300 nominations this year in order to identify 176 rising stars, only four of which are dedicated to the Government Contracts category.
Developing a wide breadth of experience, Sandeep has emerged as an accomplished bid protest attorney, having litigated over 30 bid protests, including some of the most high-profile protests in the government contracts field. In addition, he has extensive experience with internal investigations, having worked on over 20 investigations, including having primary drafting responsibility for multiple disclosures to agency inspector generals. Sandeep has built upon his investigations experience through a five-month secondment to Northrop Grumman Corporation as in-house investigations counsel.
In addition to his client work, Sandeep maintains an active pro bono practice, most recently helping to draft an amicus brief on behalf of an interfaith group of religious and interreligious organizations in opposition to President Trump’s Executive Order 13,790, which suspended travel to the United States from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen. He has also represented inmates seeking clemency (during President Obama’s Clemency Project Initiative) and is actively working with the Mid-Atlantic Innocence Project, which Sandeep supports through case reviews.
