David Cross was mentioned in an AJC Politics article covering the trial for Curling v. Raffensperger, where a group of Georgia voters claim Dominion Voting Systems touchscreen machines are unreliable.
The trial ended Thursday, Feb. 1, 2024 after five hours of closing arguments, with David arguing state election officials do a poor job of responding to cybersecurity threats, saying they pass the blame to county election officials.
“Their defense is to say, ‘We’ve secured the election. Trust us,’ ” he said. “Who is responsible for cybersecurity? ... It’s all driven by politics. The right to vote should never be driven by politics.”
