Kristen Mathews spoke to Cybersecurity Law Report about the Connecticut attorney general’s (AG) first report of enforcement under the state’s 2023 privacy law, which revealed that the regulator is investigating over 40 matters involving privacy policy deficiencies, companies’ refusals to delete individuals’ data, and more.
Kristen noted that the investigations that the Office of the AG mentions appear to still be pending, which limits somewhat their educative value for companies. “Six months is a little too soon for us to find out the final resolution of these various consent notice letters that they’ve sent,” she said.
