MoFo advised Carlsmed, an AI-enabled personalized surgery Medtech company, in its $52.5 million Series C funding round co-led by B Capital and U.S. Venture Partners. The company plans to use the proceeds to accelerate the commercialization of the company’s aprevo® personalized spine surgery platform for lumbar fusion procedures and the development of aprevo® for cervical fusions.
The MoFo team for the Series C financing was led by San Diego corporate partner Jim Krenn and San Diego corporate associate Brennen Brodersen, New York corporate associate Brooke Maker and San Diego corporate associate Bryce Bark. The supporting deal team included a number of attorneys across multiple practice groups and offices.
