Richard Call focuses on state and local tax litigation before administrative and judicial bodies at all levels and in multiple states with respect to income, franchise, gross receipts, and sales and use taxes. Mr. Call also advises clients on the state and local tax consequences of business restructurings as well as the impact of new state legislation on current business operations.
Before joining Morrison & Foerster, Mr. Call was a state and local tax associate in the New York office of another law firm where he was involved in state tax controversy, planning, and legislative work. In 2007, Mr. Call received his LL.M. in Taxation from the New York University School of Law. While attending New York University, Mr. Call served as a law clerk in the state and local practice group of another firm.
Mr. Call earned his law degree from Brigham Young University in 2006. While at Brigham Young, Mr. Call served on the BYU Law Review editorial staff.
