Rony Gerrits is the co-chair of the Global Antitrust and Competition Law Practice Group and the managing partner of the firm’s Brussels office. Mr. Gerrits handles a wide range of competition matters, with a particular focus on global cartel cases. He is currently involved in cartel investigations in the following industries: freight forwarding, cathode ray tubes, optical disk drives, smart card chips, auto parts, and LCDs. He also represented clients in the lysine cartel investigation, as well as in the flat glass and car glass cartel.
In addition to his cartel work, Mr. Gerrits has extensive experience handling antitrust/IP-related issues. For example, he represented Panasonic Mobile Communications in the EU Commission investigation of Qualcomm’s licensing terms in the mobile industry.
Mr. Gerrits has worked on a number of EU merger control cases, mostly involving high-tech industries such as hard disk drives and software. He also handled merger control filings in several EU Member States.
