Rosemary Tarlton's practice encompasses trademark counseling, prosecution, and litigation for clients in the entertainment, Internet, software, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, media, retail, biotech, financial, and publishing industries, to name a few.
Ms. Tarlton works with clients on the selection and clearance of trademarks, the prosecution of registrations before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and in foreign jurisdictions, domain arbitration proceedings before WIPO and other tribunals, the enforcement of trademark rights in oppositions and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, as well as federal and state litigation.
She also handles trademark licensing matters and provides trademark expertise in connection with corporate transactions involving trademark rights. She is also called on to assist with the trademark side of biotech deals, and has extensive expertise with plant variety naming rights issues.
Ms. Tarlton serves as trademark counsel for Lucasfilm Ltd.; IAC Search & Media, Inc.; Korn Ferry International; Viz Media, Inc.; CB Richard Ellis, Inc.; and Hitachi Global Storage Technologies, among others.
