Guide for Public and Private Entities on Transparency and Protection of Personal Data for a Responsible Artificial Intelligence, September 2024

The guide focuses on the implications of technologies based on automated decision-making systems, and in particular, those that incorporate AI, in relation to their consequences on fundamental rights and how to address these challenges from a normative and institutional point of view. It sets out principles of lawfulness, consent, and transparency and offers recommendations for implementing such principles into different stages of the AI lifecycle, from the design stage through to verification and maintenance stages.

Bill on Personal Data Protection in Artificial Intelligence Systems (No. 4243-D-2025) (Introduced on August 7, 2025)

The bill establishes a legal framework in Argentina for protecting personal data processed by AI systems. It applies to any AI activity involving personal data within Argentina or directed toward individuals in Argentina, regardless of where the operator is located.

The Bill applies to individuals and entities involved in providing, deploying, importing, distributing, manufacturing, and using AI systems within Argentina.
