Laws and Regulations
General
This law amends state law regarding online internet safety by requiring certain disclosures related to AI companion chatbots, the operators of AI companion chatbots to perform age verification in specified circumstances, and the operators to adopt a protocol for an AI companion chatbot's response to suicidal ideation or self-harm.
Healthcare
The Law provides requirements for assessment mechanisms, including AI devices, used by prescribers to conduct eye assessments or generate contact lens or eyeglass prescriptions.
This law amends state law to provide that certain decisions with regard to the provision of insurance coverage for healthcare services must not be based solely on AI systems, AI, or other software tools.
