General

The AI Policy, issued by the Ministry of Innovation, Science, and Technology, identifies seven main challenges arising from private sector AI use: discrimination, human oversight, explainability, disclosure of AI interactions, safety, accountability, and privacy. To address these challenges, and consistent with the approach taken by the OECD AI Recommendations, the AI Policy sets forth common policy principles and a number of practical recommendations.

Guidance issued by Israel’s Privacy Protection Authority for individuals using generative AI systems for personal, non-commercial purposes. The guidance outlines the potential privacy risks associated with such use, especially since these systems rely on user-generated prompts that may contain sensitive personal information and makes recommendations for mitigating these risks.
