The government’s strategic AI roadmap that sets out frameworks for the integration of AI into the different sectors of the economy through policy initiatives. 

The voluntary Guidelines establish seven principles for the responsible development and use of AI: fairness; reliability, safety and control; privacy and security; inclusiveness; transparency; accountability; and the pursuit of human benefit and happiness. They provide recommendations for responsible AI practices by public and private-sector organizations.

The voluntary, non-binding Code provides practical guidance to help organizations implement the seven AI principles established by the National Guidelines on AI Governance and Ethics throughout the design, development, deployment and use of AI systems.

The voluntary Primer provides practical guidance for boards, directors and senior management on responsible AI adoption and oversight. It addresses considerations before adopting AI, organizational AI governance and oversight, and includes a maturity assessment to help boards assess AI readiness and identify areas for improvement.

Guidelines issued by Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection Department (JPDP) on automated decision making and profiling (ADMP) that, among other things, address the use of AI in processing that involves ADMP. The guidelines set out seven recommended best practices for controllers.

Malaysia's national AI lead agency under the Ministry of Digital, responsible for coordinating and implementing the country's national AI agenda, including the National AI Action Plan 2026–2030 and trusted AI governance.
