The following law applies in the context of elections in New Mexico.
The Law amends the Campaign Reporting Act, creating the crime of distributing or entering into an agreement with another person to distribute materially deceptive media. The Law provides an exemption if that media includes a specified disclaimer that appears in a clear and conspicuous manner in every language used in the media.
