The following law applies in the context of elections in Wisconsin.
The Law requires political advertisements containing express advocacy or issue advocacy, or supporting or opposing a referendum, that contain “synthetic media” to include a specified disclaimer. “Synthetic media” is defined as audio or video content that is substantially produced in whole or in part by means of generative AI.”
