The Morrison & Foerster Foundation's contributions are made through a number of giving programs. We focus on organizations that either serve disadvantaged children or provide free legal services to low-income people. We do so by supporting direct service organizations and fellowship and scholarship programs that address these needs in the communities in which the firm has offices. We also contribute to charitable causes concerning health, food and shelter, and the arts; many of those gifts target local youth education and outreach programs, as well.

In 2016, in honor of the Foundation’s 30th anniversary, we announced $1.6 million in multi-year grants focused on improving the lives of at-risk youth. These donations were in addition to our community grants and the fellowships and scholarships we sponsored. In recent years, we have also raised and distributed funds to support disaster relief efforts. In addition, the Foundation offers several matching gift programs to Morrison & Foerster lawyers and staff.
