Allison Magnarelli is an associate in the firm’s Investigations + White Collar Defense Group in the Washington, D.C. office.
Allison focuses her practice on representing companies, boards of directors, and executives in internal and government-facing investigations, white collar defense matters, and congressional inquiries.
Allison has extensive experience representing clients in high-stakes enforcement matters and defending against congressional investigations, including matters involving alleged wrongdoing related to bribery, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and public corruption. She has conducted internal investigations related to these issues and has also represented clients in government-facing investigations conducted by the U.S. Department of Justice and Congress. Allison also routinely counsels clients on compliance matters, including due diligence and compliance program risk assessments.
Before joining Morrison Foerster, Allison was a summer associate at the firm and served as a judicial intern to the Hon. Christian Hummel, United States District Court, Northern District of New York and as a legal intern at the United States Attorney’s Office, Northern District of New York.
Allison received her J.D. magna cum laude from the Albany Law School of Union University. While in law school, she served as an executive editor for the Albany Law Review. She won the Karen C. McGovern Senior Prize Trials Competition and was recognized individually with a Best Oral Advocate Award. She was also a finalist in the Domenick L. Gabrielli Appellate Advocacy Competition and won a Best Brief Award. Allison is a member of the Order of the Barristers, an honor society for law school graduates who demonstrate exceptional skills in trial advocacy, oral advocacy, and brief writing.
Allison received her B.A. in sociology from Hobart and William Smith Colleges.
