Andrew Morrison has 20 years of experience representing funds, banks, and other institutional clients in all major aspects of real estate-related transactions.

Andrew has extensive experience with financings; acquisitions and dispositions; joint venture arrangements; restructurings and workouts; and distressed loan portfolio acquisitions.

Andrew formerly practiced in the firm’s Tokyo office and has been recommended as a leading real estate lawyer by Chambers Asia Pacific, The Legal 500 Asia Pacific, and Who’s Who Legal Japan. Chambers Global has also named him a Japan Real Estate “Expert Based Abroad.”

Andrew earned his J.D. degree from Vanderbilt University School of Law, where he was a student authorities editor for the Vanderbilt Journal of Transnational Law, and received his B.B.A. degree from George Washington University. Andrew also studied Japanese language at Nanzan University in Nagoya, Japan. He is admitted to the bar in the District of Columbia and the State of Maryland.

The lead lenders and administrative agent in a $900 million syndicated term loan for the refinancing of a major office building in New York City.

Mezzanine Loan Financing

A large, multinational bank in a $400 million mezzanine loan for the refinancing of a major office building in New York City.

Portfolio Financings

A large, multinational bank in $693 million of term loan financings for an 11-property retail portfolio in nine different states and a nine-property portfolio consisting of industrial, office, and flex properties in five states.

Industrial Construction Loans

A large, multinational bank in $430 million of construction loan financings of state-of-the-art warehouse/distribution centers in Georgia and Idaho.

Debt Position Workouts

Institutional lenders in connection with working out their debt positions on real estate assets.

CMBS Financings

A large, multinational bank in CMBS acquisition loan financings for office, industrial, and manufacturing properties in several states.

Condo Acquisition
