Andrew Nguyen is an associate in the Litigation Department of Morrison Foerster’s Los Angeles office.

Andrew’s practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, including breach of contract disputes and related intellectual property matters. 

Before joining the firm, Andrew served as judicial extern to the then-Chief Judge Philip S. Gutierrez of the U.S. District Court, Central District of California, preparing legal memoranda and orders. He also worked as a research assistant to Professor David Marcus at the American Law Institute and as a teaching assistant to Professor Douglas Lichtman for his Intellectual Property Strategy class in UCLA’s Master of Engineering program.

Andrew received his J.D. from UCLA School of Law, where he was recognized with the Masin Family Academic Excellence Gold Award for his achievement in Federal Courts. During law school, he served as an editor for UCLA Law Review and a writing advisor to first-year students. Andrew received his B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara with highest honors and an outstanding distinction in the English major. He will clerk at the U.S. District Court, Central District of California beginning in the fall of 2026.
