Bergen Smith is an associate in the Litigation Department of Morrison Foerster’s San Francisco office.
Bergen Smith focuses his practice on litigation and investigations, drawing on his experience in civil and criminal matters across both public interest and government settings.
Prior to joining the firm, Bergen served as a summer associate in Morrison Foerster’s San Francisco office. He also served as a law clerk in the U.S. Department of Justice Antitrust Division, participated as a student-advocate in the Bluhm Legal Clinic’s Center on Wrongful Convictions, and interned with the California Appellate Project.
Bergen graduated cum laude from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, where he served as an online articles editor for the Northwestern University Law Review and president of the Federal Bar Association. He earned his M.S. in economics from California State University, East Bay, and his B.A. in philosophy from Whitworth University, graduating magna cum laude.
