Bjoern Rieder advises national and international companies from various sectors in the area of EU and German foreign trade and regulatory law. He has a particular focus advising on foreign investment control (FDI), compliance under EU sanctions law, as well as regulatory due diligence in M&A transactions.
He also focuses on commercial disputes before state courts and in arbitration.
Bjoern studied law at Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg and University of Geneva, Switzerland (“Certificate in Transnational Law”). He completed his legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court of Karlsruhe with periods spent at a large international law firm in Brussels as well as the Fiscal Court of Baden-Württemberg.
Bjoern is an associate at Morrison Foerster’s German office in Berlin. He is a member of the firm’s global National Security practice group.
