Collin Hong is a New York-based associate in Morrison Foerster’s Intellectual Property Litigation Group. He represents clients in complex patent disputes involving pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and medical devices in federal district courts and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
Collin’s practice focuses on life sciences patent litigation, including matters arising under the Patent Act and the Hatch-Waxman Act. He has represented innovator pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies in high-stakes patent disputes involving pharmaceuticalsand medical devices. His experience spans all phases of litigation, including fact and expert discovery, claim construction, motion practice, trial preparation, and appellate advocacy. He has also contributed to successful appeals before the Federal Circuit and regularly advises on developments in ANDA and biosimilar litigation.
Before joining Morrison Foerster, Collin practiced patent litigation at law firms in New York, where he represented clients in a range of intellectual property disputes. Collin also served as a law clerk to the Honorable Eli J. Richardson of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee.
Collin earned his J.D. with High Pro Bono Distinction from Stanford Law School, where he served as an articles editor of the Stanford Technology Law Review. He received his B.A. summa cum laude in chemistry from Vanderbilt University.
