Dana Dettmer is an associate in Morrison Foerster’s Austin office and a member of the firm’s Emerging Companies + Venture Capital Group.

Dana advises entrepreneurs, emerging growth companies, and institutional investors on a broad range of corporate and securities matters.

Dana represents companies throughout their lifecycle, from formation through financing and strategic transactions. She regularly counsels founders, management teams, and investors on day-to-day corporate matters, governance issues, and commercial transactions, providing practical advice tailored to the evolving needs of growth-stage businesses.

Dana earned her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law, where she was treasurer of the Business and Law Association and a member of the Journal of Corporate and Financial Law. She received her B.A. in psychology and Spanish language from Wake Forest University, where she served as captain of the equestrian team. Dana is admitted to practice in Texas and New York and is a a Spanish speaker.
