Erika Basurto is an associate in Morrison Foerster’s San Francisco office and a member of the firm’s Litigation Group.

Erika earned her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, where she received the Jurisprudence Award in Advanced Legal Writing and placed third in the regional Saul Lefkowitz Moot Court Competition.

During law school, Erika was a legal intern for the Education Justice Clinic at the East Bay Community Law Center. She participated in the UCDC Law Program and served as a legal intern in the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice. She also externed in New York at the Center for Employment Opportunities.

Erika received her B.A. in political science from the University of California, Berkeley. In undergrad, she participated in UCDC and studied abroad in Santiago, Chile, and Madrid, Spain.
