Dr. Ethan M. Weiner is of counsel in the firm’s Intellectual Property Group. His practice focuses on patent prosecution, IP due diligence, and patent portfolio management and counseling. Dr. Weiner handles a wide array of technologies, including pharmaceuticals, genomics, nanoparticle technologies, and medical devices.
Dr. Weiner received his J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law where he was the Senior Articles Editor for the Berkeley Technology Law Journal and won the Prosser Prize for Patent Prosecution. Prior to law school, he received his Ph.D. in biochemistry and molecular biology from the University of California, Los Angeles, where his doctoral research focused on biomolecule structure, protein dynamics, and protein-small molecule interactions.
